GenEraZions is a cross-generation pop-culture trivia game operated by
Optimistic Media LLC. It is available on Google Play and the Apple App Store
under the identifier com.mattyg585.generazions.
Account: your first and last name (at sign-up; not shown to other players), email address, username/in-game display name, and a selected illustrated avatar (no photos are collected or stored).
Gameplay: virtual currency (coins) and points, match history and results, your generation/era preference, and friend connections you create.
Technical & advertising: a device advertising identifier for Google AdMob ads, plus standard technical data needed to deliver ads and operate the service.
Crash & diagnostics: crash reports and diagnostic data via Sentry, which we use to fix bugs and improve stability.
Purchases (GenEraZions Pro): subscription status and purchase history. Payments are processed by RevenueCat and the app stores; we do not retain full payment-card details.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or photos/files from your device.
To create and authenticate your account; run gameplay (matchmaking, hosted rooms, scoring, leaderboards, coin balances); display your username and avatar to other players in online matches; manage GenEraZions Pro; serve ads via Google AdMob; and for security, abuse prevention, and improving the service. We do not sell your personal information.
We retain your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and all of its data in-app via Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing support@generazions.app. Advertising identifiers are managed by your device and can be reset or limited in your device settings.
We protect your information using industry-standard measures, and data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.
GenEraZions is intended for users 13+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact privacy@generazions.app and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) and the CCPA/CPRA (California) to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@generazions.app.
Ads are served through Google AdMob. You can opt out of personalized ads and reset your advertising ID in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective" date above and, where appropriate, with an in-app notice.
